Things that i cook - Easy Mee Celup

Mee celup is one of Kelantanese street food that i like.
Mee celup quite similar to ordinary mee soup accept some extra ingredients like pounded groundnut,cow's internal organ (tripe/lung/liver),vegies like spinach instead of bak choy can be found in a bowl of mee celup.  YUmmeeehhh!!


Craving for my hometown mee celup and decided to cook my own version of mee celup when i noticed i have pounded groundnut in the drawer and some beef chunk in my freezer.



Easy Mee celup recipe (my version)


The Soup
Garlic- 1 clove chopped
Beef chunk
Fish cake
a sliced of ginger
small onion- 3/4 nos. sliced
1 jug of plain water
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
Celery/tomatoes
Black pepper
Soup bunjut -mak siti sup tulang w extra cinnamon stick/star anise etc is the best


Noodle and veggies
Meehoon/mee/kuewtiaw - i used meehoon
Spinach
Bean sprout


Garnish
Pounded ground nut
Preserved green chillies
Spring onion/celery
Fried onion
Chilli flake
lime




- Saute the garlic+ onion + cinnamon stick and star anise until fragrant. 
- add ginger+ beef.cook awhile.
- Add water with soup bunjut. let it simmer.
- salt/blackpepper to taste
- when the beef become tender add in fishcake/celery/tomatoes


How to serve:


- Take the noodle with vegies of your choice,soak in the boiling       broth for 2/3 minute,drained
- Place into a bowl and pour the beef and broth/soup
- Garnish it with enuz pounded groundnut/fried onion/spring onion/chilli flake/preserved chili.
